April is the founding member of The Charleston Firm in Chester County. April’s focus is on estate and trust administration and estate and tax planning. In addition to her estate practice, April represents many small, mid sized and family owned businesses, handling and resolving divergent matters. She holds a certification in Blockchain Technology and Digital Assets from Wharton Business School and leads the area in estate planning for people with digital assets, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs.
April counsels many families and individuals in a wide array of personal and business concerns, and handles all aspects of both commercial and residential real estate transactions on behalf of sellers, purchasers and investors. She has tried cases in courts of multiple jurisdictions in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
April also practices in an area of personal passion, by representing both visual and performing artists.
April previously served on the Board of Healing Art Works, Inc., a Pennsylvania non- profit based in Exton, PA, which placed original, donated artwork in patient spaces at medical centers and outpatient facilities including Chester County Hospital, the Milton Hershey Medical Center, Cooper University Hospital, Asera Care Hospice, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Paoli Hospital, the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge and most recently Nemours Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children.
April has served on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Estate Planning Council for the past three years, and is a member of the Chester County Estate Planning Council. She has spoken on numerous occasions on the importance of proper estate planning.
April grew up in West Chester, graduating from both Peirce Middle School and Henderson High School. She returned home to West Chester to start her firm, where she now lives with her husband and two children.
